Ms Lim-Prasad, a double SEA Games medallist in the 400m hurdles, describes the slope there as a "killer"change for fitness buffs. Even those training to climb a mountain go there to test themselves.


The track star enjoys running at the trail as she can feel "one with nature" . The trail, which is part of the Central Catchment Nature Reserve, holds sentimental value as that was where she started running with her father. A further plus is the prata places there, where she can stop for a bite.

The Southern Ridges Trail

The 10km trail connects Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park, HortPark, Kent Ridge Park and Labrador Nature Reserve.

Parts of the trail are uphill battles, but runners will be rewarded with spectacular views like that of the Alkaff Mansion at Telok Blangah Hill Park, and Henderson Waves, the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore at 36m above Henderson Road.
