SINGAPORE - More rain can be expected in the next two weeks, the National Environment Agency (NEA) has said in a weather advisory on Monday.

"More rainfall can be expected compared to the first half of November," NEA said in its statement.

It added that thundery showers are expected mostly in the afternoons.

"The showers may be heavy at times, especially when there is convergence of winds coupled with strong solar heating of land areas," it added.

November is usually the second wettest month in the year after December, and rainfall for November this year is likely to be near normal, NEA explained.

The maximum daily temperature is expected to be between 32 and 33 deg C.

Singapore is still in the inter-monsoon period, when winds are likely to be light and variable in direction.
