The good, the bad and the ugly about educational mobility

Recent OECD report gives Singapore a Grade A for educational mobility, but highlights areas like segregation where improvement is needed.

An influential report released last week sheds a lot of light on the Singapore education system. Overall, Singapore did very well in educational mobility across the generations, and in how students perform relative to other students overseas.

But we did not do so well when it comes to relative mobility - how disadvantaged students perform relative to peers within Singapore.
