SINGAPORE – The police are on the hunt for the driver of a Mercedes car and his two passengers after they fled from a roadblock in Geylang on April 4.

In response to queries from The Straits Times, the police said that a car had reversed away from the roadblock in Lorong 4 Geylang at around 8pm that night.

The male driver and two passengers then abandoned the car and fled on foot in Lorong 21 Geylang. Police dogs, also known as K9s, were later brought to the scene.

Dashcam footage obtained by Shin Min Daily News captures the white car moving fast and turning into Lorong 21.

It stops at the mouth of the narrow street before the trio dash out of the vehicle in different directions while the engine is left running.

Investigations are ongoing and “efforts to trace the driver and passengers are under way”, said the police on April 5.
