SINGAPORE - It is a pity that most clan associations do not actively attract women's participation, said Dr Gan See Khem.

Women are busy with work and family responsibilities, and do not volunteer for clan activities which traditionally, are the "enclave for male participation", added Dr Gan, who was the first woman president of Gan Clan Singapore, serving between 2010 and 2015.
