Police investigating double deaths in Tampines

SINGAPORE - A man and a woman were found dead in related cases at Tampines Centrale 8, Block 520A on late Monday night (May 29).

A 49-year-old man was found lying motionless at the foot of the block, while the body of a 46-year-old woman was later found in a 10th-floor unit in the same block.

Both were pronounced dead by paramedics on scene.

Police were alerted to an incident on Monday (May 29) at 10.58pm.

The Straits Times understands that the man and the woman were not married and the man was not staying at the three-room flat.

Police are investigating the unnatural deaths.

Police officers were seen back at the scene around 1.15pm on Tuesday (May 30) searching in the bushes around the block.

ST understands they were searching for a weapon.
