Facebook's growing data privacy scandal reached Singapore's shores last week, when it was made known that more than 65,000 local users had their account information shared improperly with data analytics firm Cambridge Analytica.

Since then, the social media firm has suspended other companies that have also shared personal user information with marketers or for political use, such as Canadian data firm AggregateIQ.
