What started as a peaceful morning last December ended bloodily for Mr Joseph Wee, 59, and his muzzled Belgian shepherd Nero.

Mr Wee was walking his dog home to Joo Chiat Place from Telok Kurau Park when another dog appeared and bit Nero's tail.
