SINGAPORE - Thousands of devotees are expected at the Da Bo Gong, or Tua Pek Kong, Temple on Kusu Island during the Kusu pilgrimage season from Oct 20 to Nov 17.
Ferries will depart from Marina South Pier for the island from 7am daily during that period, with the last one leaving at 5pm, the Singapore Land Authority said in a press release on Monday (Oct 16).
The last ferry leaving Kusu Island for the mainland leaves at 7pm. Regular ferry services to St John's Island will be suspended during that period.
The public is advised to take public transport to get to Marina South Pier. The closest MRT station is Marina South Pier station.
Due to limited parking space there, those who drive should park their vehicles at Marina Bay Cruise Centre (MBCC), and take bus service 402 or walk some 500m along the pedestrian linkway.
On weekends and public holidays, free shuttle bus services are available from MBCC to Marina South Pier.
Devotees are encouraged to visit Kusu Island during weekdays and off-peak hours.
Visitors should wear comfortable attire and shoes for walking around the island and should not bring their pets along.
