Demolition work was under way yesterday at Block 493, Jurong West Street 41 - housing a wet market and a coffee shop - that was badly damaged in a fire last week. The Housing Board said on Wednesday that the process will take about three weeks to complete. Long-arm crushers and excavators will be used. Workers were seen misting the place to prevent mosquito breeding. Jurong GRC MP Ang Wei Neng said a temporary market will be built before Chinese New Year to help the affected stallholders.
