Demand spikes for throat sprays and mouthwash amid Covid-19 surge

SINGAPORE - Pharmacies here are seeing a spike in demand for throat sprays and mouth gargle products, which are said to be helpful in relieving Covid-19 symptoms amid the current Omicron wave.

A spokesman for FairPrice said it has seen an overall increase of more than 30 per cent in sales for mouth gargles and sprays containing povidone iodine since the beginning of June.
