Data breach by accountancy commission

For four months, a folder containing personal information of 6,541 individuals was accidentally attached to e-mail messages sent from the Singapore Accountancy Commission to 41 people about administrative matters.

The data breach included names, NRIC numbers, contact details and Singapore Chartered Accountant Qualification exam results. It was discovered on Nov 7 when a new data protection filter was installed.
