Family members of the Singaporean-Korean couple, killed after Friday morning's horrific accident on the Central Expressway (CTE), met at the mortuary on Saturday.

Mr Amron Ayoub and Miss Jamie Song Jisoo, a Korean national working here, were on their way to the airport with her parents and older brother, when the accident occurred, killing all but the brother.

The five of them got out of the vehicle after Mr Amron, 23, had to stop along the CTE to fix a punctured tyre. He was the driver of the car and not a passenger as previously reported online. Miss Song's brother escaped the accident unhurt.

Mr Amron's body was buried on Friday, while the bodies of his girlfriend and her parents remained unclaimed at the mortuary. Mr Song's younger brother and a Chinese colleague had flown into Singapore and accompanied him to the mortuary, but they left at noon without claiming the bodies.
