White Sands Primary School was hit by vandalism yesterday.

The splashes of paint on the wall beside the school's main gate were reported to police in the morning, but all traces of the graffiti had been painted over by the time pupils were dismissed from school at 1.30pm.

The vandalism, which took place in what one resident called a quiet Pasir Ris neighbourhood, is understood to be an isolated incident linked to loan shark activity.
