SINGAPORE - Two teenagers were charged on Friday with robbing a man of two mobile phones in Jurong earlier this month.
Liao Bang Xiong, 18, and Louis Chin, 19, allegedly robbed Mr Balasubramanian Sureshkumar, 29, of the phones worth $370 along the pathway near the canal at Upper Jurong Road.
They are said to have committed the offence at about 12.30am on Jan 16 with a third unknown youth when one of them was armed with a knife.
Both youths were remanded at Jurong police station for further investigation.
The case will be mentioned on Feb 4.
If convicted, they could be jailed for between three and 14 years plus at least 12 strokes of the cane.
