Two teenagers arrested for stealing motorcyle

SINGAPORE - The police have arrested two teenagers aged 14 and 16 who are believed to have been involved in stealing a motorcycle.

Last Friday (May 12) at 10.46am, a 29-year-old man reported that his motorcycle was stolen from the carpark of Block 431 in Yishun Avenue 1.

Through enquiries on the ground and the help of close-circuit television images, officers from the Ang Mo Kio Police Division identified the suspects and arrested them at Block 22, Teban Gardens, on Tuesday (May 16) at about 4.30pm.

The stolen motorcycle was also recovered on the same day along Jurong Town Hall Road.

If convicted, each faces a maximum jail term of seven years and will also be liable to a fine.
