Toh Guan housebreaker apprehended within six hours

SINGAPORE- Police have arrested a 27-year-old man believed to be involved in a case of housebreaking at Toh Guan Road East Industrial Estate.

Around 7.50am on Tuesday morning, the Police were alerted to a break-in at a unit there. Three drills, a cash register, and cash amounting to about $4,000 were reported stolen.

Officers from the Clementi Police Division began investigating.

The suspect was arrested along Geylang Lorong 8 on the same day at about 1.30pm.

The officers also recovered three drills and $2,337 in cash, believed to have been stolen by the man.

He will be charged in court on Jan 14 with Housebreaking and Theft by Night, which carries an imprisonment term of up to 14 years.
