SINGAPORE - Gunshots and explosions were heard at Marina Bay Link Mall on Sunday morning as the police staged a terrorist attack as part of Exercise Heartbeat.

The annual emergency preparedness exercise was held in collaboration with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

As part of the simulation, terrorists planted explosives at Downtown MRT station and fired at passersby before being subdued by the police.

Officers from the police, SCDF and mall security then rendered first-aid to the victims, who were evacuated via ambulance.
