SINGAPORE - A man was arrested on Tuesday (Sept 27) on suspicion of serial housebreaking, the police said.
The 47-year-old suspect allegedly targeted Housing Board flats where renovation works were taking place.
Police were notified on Monday of a break-in at a HDB flat in Choa Chu Kang Avenue 7, when a worker at the site found a demolition hammer drill missing from his toolkit. Similar tools have gone missing from other HDB flats under renovation.
The suspect will be charged on Wednesday and faces a maximum of 10 years in jail for housebreaking and theft.
