SINGAPORE - A 22 year-old man was arrested on Saturday in connection with a case of burglary that occured at a cafe along Cross Street the day before.
The police said they received a report that the cafe had been broken into at about 5.40pm on Friday. Cash was also reported to be missing.
The suspect's identity was established with the aid of closed-circuit television images, and with swift and extensive inquiries into the case, the police said on Sunday.
The alleged burglar was arrested along Yishun Street 72 at about 11.35pm, a day after the incident.
He will be charged in court on Monday. If convicted of housebreaking and theft, the man faces up to up 10 years in jail.
