Seven men nabbed in connection to rioting case after police operation in Yew Tee

SINGAPORE - Seven men, suspected to be immigration offenders, were arrested on Wednesday for their involvement in a rioting case on Oct 16.

They were nabbed during an operation, which involved officers from the police and the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority, at the vicinity of Yew Tee Industrial Estate, according to a police statement.

All the suspects are also believed to be involved in the peddling of duty unpaid cigarettes. A total of 917 packets of illegal cigarettes were seized during the operation.
