Migrant worker death in Geylang fire: Court finds flat owners not liable in lawsuit

SINGAPORE - A district judge found that four landlord-owners were not liable for the death of a migrant worker from a fire in a Geylang apartment used as an improvised dormitory for migrant workers.

The father of Bangladesh national Mamun Abdullah All, 20, had sued the four owners of the premises for negligence, seeking damages and dependency claims.
