SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a male suspect in connection with a brazen robbery that happened on Wednesday morning in Aljunied Crescent.
A 35-year-old moneychanger was robbed of more than $600,000 in cash by five men wearing ski masks in the open-air carpark at Block 110 just before 1am. The money was in the boot of his Hyundai car.
Police said the suspect is expected to be charged on Saturday with robbery with hurt.
In a separate case, police have also nabbed a 51-year-old man who is believed to have stolen from a vehicle in the vicinity of Bedok North on Oct 23.
He was caught on Nov 7, after police spotted him and saw that he resembled the images retrieved from police camera footage related to the theft. Officers gave chase and managed to detain the suspect.
