SINGAPORE – A 34-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly stole side mirrors and a helmet from two motorcycles in different carparks at Changi Airport Terminal 4.

The police said on May 16 that they were alerted on May 12 by a motorcyclist, who said both side mirrors of his motorcycle had been allegedly stolen while it was parked at the multi-storey carpark of the terminal.

Another motorcyclist reported to the police on May 15 that his helmet was missing from his motorcycle, which was parked at a different carpark of the terminal.

Officers from the Airport Police Division identified the man through ground inquiries and CCTV footage, and arrested him that day.

Two motorcycle side mirrors were recovered.

He is expected to be charged on May 17.

The police advised motor vehicle owners to park in well-lit areas and install an anti-theft alarm system to protect their motorcycles.
