SINGAPORE - Police have arrested a 47-year-old man who is believed to be involved in a series of housebreaking cases in Chinatown.
Police were alerted to a case of a housebreaking at a restaurant along Smith Street at about 11.35am on April 2. The owner of restaurant discovered the cash register was prised open and $265 in cash was missing.
With the aid of CCTV footage, police officers arrested the suspect along Temple Street at about 4.30pm on the same day, according to a press statement released by the police on Friday.
Investigations revealed that he is believed to be involved in at least four other housebreaking and theft cases in Chinatown.
