SINGAPORE - A 23-year-old man was nabbed on Monday (June 5) night during a police operation in the vicinity of Geylang Lorong 10.
He was arrested for customs-related offences and referred to Singapore Customs, a police spokesman said in response to queries.
The Straits Times understand that the suspect, a foreigner, was in possession of contraband cigarettes.
When ST visited the scene at around 10.25pm on Monday, a police car was parked near a coffee shop along the street.
Officers were seen overturning dustbins and appeared to be searching for something.
