How Adam Kamis' social escort agency operated

In early 2013, Adam Kamis set up social escort agency SG Freelancers, which operated online via a website called Uniquely Singapore.

He used it as a platform to offer the sexual services of women under his employ.

When few women responded to the advertisements under the agency's Facebook account, he created another account with the moniker Angel Tan, passing himself off as an escort. He would send a template message offering a "high-income" freelance job of up to $1,000 per assignment to random women.

He said the job entailed accompanying male clients, chatting with them and providing them with "physical relief/release'' by engaging in protected sex, oral sex or other acts.

Those interested would have to submit their full particulars, vital statistics and preferred working conditions in a questionnaire. They would e-mail the completed questionnaire and photographs to Adam, who created their online profiles after hiring them.

During the interviews - at his Yishun flat when no one was home - he introduced himself as a "handler'' of the agency. The women would strip for Adam to inspect their bodies, and were asked to provide him with the services they had indicated.

He advertised five women's services on the Uniquely Singapore website and on Craigslist in 2013. Last year, he posted over 50 advertisements on Locanto.
