Two jailed for taking computer goods

Two men were each sentenced to 18 months in jail yesterday for abetment by conspiracy to commit criminal breach of trust over $165,000 worth of computer accessories and electronic goods. Chang Zhijie, 30, and Raymond Yeo Chwee Seng, 35, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to misappropriate property from Cybermind Computer House at Sim Lim Square, and another charge.

Between March 1, 2013, and Feb 14 last year, Chang was working at the shop as a retail manager when he took goods totalling $165,230. Yeo helped him. Full restitution has been made.


Suspect in coffee shop break-in nabbed

Police arrested a 43-year-old man suspected of breaking into a coffee shop at Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 1 on Thursday. More than 280 packets of cigarettes were seized as case exhibits.

The victim discovered that his coffee shop had been broken into on Tuesday.
