SINGAPORE - A robber who allegedly assaulted and made off with his victim's belongings along Desker Road in the wee hours of Tuesday (May 16) has been arrested, said the Singapore Police Force in a release on Wednesday night.
On Tuesday at about 4am, the Police received a report that the victim had been assaulted and robbed of his belongings by a man, the release added.
The 24-year-old suspect was arrested along the same road within 18 hours, at around 10pm, after extensive ground enquiries were conducted.
If convicted, he will face between five and 20 years of jail time, in addition to at least 12 strokes of the cane.
