Defamation suit to be heard in S'pore even though allegations on Facebook made in Vietnam: Court

SINGAPORE - A court in Singapore has decided that a defamation suit should be heard here and not in Vietnam, even though the defendant posted a number of allegations on Facebook while in Vietnam.

In decision grounds last month, State Courts Deputy Registrar Liu Zeming said the hearing venue should be where the damage was intended to be caused.
