SINGAPORE -The Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) conducted a four-day operation this week that nabbed 107 suspected drug offenders.

The island-wide campaign was supported by officers from the Singapore Police Force, and swept through Ang Mo Kio, Bukit Batok, Bukit Panjang, Geylang, Jalan Bukit Merah, Jurong, Marsiling, Telok Blangah, Tiong Bahru, Woodlands and Yishun.

About 102g of heroin, 50g of 'Ice', 6g of ketamine and 32 Erimin-5 tablets were seized in total. Investigations on all the suspects are ongoing.

One of them, a 35-year-old male Singaporean, is believed to have been a drug trafficker. Officers recovered a small packet of 'Ice' when they apprehended him along Yishun Street 11. His flat unit was then raided, where another two Singaporeans, aged 40 and 31, were arrested. More drugs and a digital weighing scale, among other drug-taking equipment were also recovered.

Those found guilty of drug trafficking face a minimum of five years' imprisonment and five strokes of the cane.
