SINGAPORE - A 27-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of armed robbery reported along Choa Chu Kang Ave 4, the police said on Wednesday (Jan 6).
On Dec 11, 2015, the police received a report that a man had stolen two power banks from a convenience store located along Choa Chu Kang Ave 4.
It is believed that the suspect had also pointed a sharp object at the employee who had tried to stop him.
Upon receiving the report, officers from Jurong Division conducted extensive investigations to establish the identity of the suspect.
With the aid of surveillance camera or Polcam, the suspect was arrested on Tuesday (Jan 5) in Choa Chu Kang.
The suspect will be charged in Court on Thursday (Jan 7) for the offence of Armed Robbery, which carries an imprisonment term of up to 14 years and up to 12 strokes of cane.
