Man, 27, armed with stun device arrested after robbing woman at Jalan Dusun

SINGAPORE - A 27-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in an armed robbery case at Jalan Dusun.

On Aug 24, at 5.09pm, a 28-year-old woman made a police report that a man, armed with a stun device, had robbed her of $1,750 and 1,000 yuan in cash along Jalan Dusun.

Tanglin Division police officers arrested him on Tuesday (Sept 27) at about 10pm at Chai Chee Road.

Preliminary investigations showed that the suspect is believed to have been involved in several other similar cases at Balestier and Eunos estates.

The man is expected to be charged in court on Thursday (Sept 29) with the offence of armed robbery.

If convicted, he faces a jail term of between two and 10 years, and at least 12 strokes of the cane.
