Apart from customer requests to speed up renovations, interior designers are facing other challenges due to the GST increase.

SINGAPORE – Renovation works for Mr Shaun Lim’s Bukit Purmei home will wrap up only in January but the 34-year-old, who works in corporate banking, is already chasing his interior designer to bill him before the end of 2022.
He wants to avoid paying more when the goods and services tax (GST) is increased by one percentage point to 8 per cent from Jan 1.
