SINGAPORE - Some flavours of a brand of coconut milk desserts contains "milk of dairy origin", and should not be consumed by anyone allergic to milk, the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) said on Wednesday (Sept 14).
CocoLuscious of Australia is recalling four of its products after Food Standards Australia New Zealand issued an alert that the presence of dairy milk was present but undeclared in the ice creams, chocolate and fudge.
The affected CocoLuscious products were imported into Singapore, but the importer has completed the recall of the implicated products from the market, AVA said.
"The affected products may pose a food safety risk for anyone allergic to milk," said AVA in a statement.
The products are:
- Coconut milk ice cream peppermint choc chip
- Coconut milk ice cream vanilla choc chip
- Coconut milk chocolate
- Dessert sauce chocolate fudge sauce
The agency advised consumers who have a milk allergy or intolerance not to consume the affected products.
Those who have encountered allergic reactions after consuming any of the affected products should seek medical advice, AVA said.
