Christmas will take on a special meaning this year for 18-year-old Megan Loy and her family. With her are her businessman father Joseph Loy, 48, and sister Lauren, 15.

The burn victim had a one-in-five chance of survival when she suffered serious burns after a blaze broke out at the Colour Play Asia festival in Taipei on June 27.

But she is now on the road to recovery and looking forward to meeting 60 of her relatives at a Christmas party today.

"I now live life with no regrets. I feel like if I had died that day, my biggest regret would probably be not telling my family that I love them enough," said Megan, who was discharged from Singapore General Hospital two months ago. Since then, she has been spending time with her family by going out for meals or watching movies.

Mr Loy said he is glad to see his daughter back home. Lauren also returned home two weeks ago after finishing her school term in Shanghai. The family have moved back to Singapore from Shanghai so that Megan can continue her treatment here.
