Housewife Yap Lai Choo, 75, browsing Value Fresh brand vegetables at a FairPrice Shop that opened yesterday in Eunos Crescent. The vegetables under this new FairPrice brand are 5 per cent to 10 per cent cheaper than the items from the supermarket chain's existing house brand. FairPrice Shop outlets sell more affordable products and are located near the homes of lower-income families. More shops are in the works.
