Changi Airport handled 4.3 million passengers in September, an increase of 6.9 per cent over the same month last year.

This takes the total tally for the first nine months of the year to 39.7 million travellers, 5.6 per cent more than for the same January-September period last year.

Flight movements moved in tandem with passenger numbers with 28,400 landings and take-offs recorded in September, Changi Airport Group said on Wednesday.

The air cargo sector was relatively weak with 152,800 tonnes of freight handled in September. This was a 2.5 per cent year-on-year dip.
