SINGAPORE - The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) is conducting a probe after a small ceramic-like object was found in a packet of organic breakfast crumble sold here.

AVA said in a statement on Friday (June 8) that the importer of CeresOrganics Organic Breakfast Paleo Crumble in Cacao Spice (350g) has voluntarily recalled the affected batch of products from New Zealand.

The affected batch of products carry the best before date of Jan 5, 2019.

The recall, which was done as a precautionary measure, has been completed, AVA said.

AVA added that it is working with the importer to investigate the incident.

Consumers who have bought the affected products are advised against consuming them.
