Car hurtles down slope, crashes into bench at Tampines park

SINGAPORE - A car hurtled down a slope, grazed a tree and crashed into a bench at a Tampines park on Saturday (Oct 17).

The accident took place at about 1.40pm at the park near Tampines Street 21, according to evening daily Lianhe Wanbao. No one was hurt in the accident.

The driver, a man in his 70s who was driving home with his wife, reportedly lost control of his yellow Honda Jazz after he mistakenly stepped on the accelerator while reversing the vehicle.

The car crashed into a bench and grazed a tree before stopping in an awkward position at the park.
