Since April, Singaporeans have been sharing their views on marriage and parenthood through online polls. Manpower Minister Josephine Teo says a key finding is that "people's comfort in starting families is shaped by culture at the workplace".

Give the young people of today some time to settle down and they will start their own families, said Manpower Minister Josephine Teo.

She is hopeful that this generation of "echo boomers" - children of the baby boomers - will soon have babies of their own.
