Call for performers for ChildAid 2012

ChildAid is on again and the annual charity talent show is looking for performers.

Those between six and 19 years old and have a special talent for dancing, singing or playing a musical instrument are invited to submit their entries to childaid@sph.com.sg from April 25 to May 18. They must also send in a video recording of their performance and include a short write-up on why they want to be a part of ChildAid 2012.

ChildAid 2012 promises its eighth concert, which will be held on Dec 7 and 8 at Marina Bay Sands, to be an 'electrifying' one with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems.

'We are all very excited about this year's show. We hope the bigger and better venue will attract more young talents to come forward and be a part of this meaningful and worthy cause to help children who are less fortunate. ChildAid is a good showcase of excellence and the gift of sharing,' said Mr Warren Fernandez, editor of The Straits Times.

Proceeds from ChildAid will go to the The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and The Business Times Budding Artists Fund.
