SINGAPORE – A number of bus services plying routes around the city will be diverted on two consecutive Saturdays – July 20 and 27 – due to the National Day Parade (NDP) National Education Show 4 and the first preview of the NDP.

Services with stops along Bayfront Avenue, Beach Road, Esplanade Drive, Marine Boulevard, Raffles Avenue and Nicoll Highway will be among those affected.

SBS Transit services that will be affected are 10, 14, 16/16M, 32, 51, 56, 57, 63, 70/70M, 80, 100, 107/107M, 111, 124, 130, 131, 133, 145, 166, 174, 195, 196, 197, 502, 851 and 851e.

SBS Transit said the affected services will be diverted in phases to alternative routes. It also advised passengers to plan their journeys and take the MRT if they need to get to the affected areas. The diversion will apply from the first bus to the last bus of the day.

SMRT services 61, 960, 960e and 961 will skip some bus stops at certain times of the day.

SMRT bus service 961, from the first to the last bus of the day, will skip two stops – the one after Raffles Hotel and another one at the Supreme Court. 

Other stops – including Shaw Towers, Raffles Hotel, after Singapore Flyer, and Esplanade – will be affected from 8am to 11.59pm.

Some stops will be affected for only a few hours, such as the ones near City Hall MRT Station Exit B that will be closed from 1pm to 8pm.

Go-Ahead Singapore services 36 and 518 will skip some stops from 8am to 11.59pm. The stops include those at Bayfront MRT station, The Float @ Marina Bay, Esplanade and Suntec Convention Centre.

For more information, passengers can check the websites or social media pages of the bus operators. The NDP on Aug 9 will be held at the Padang and Marina Bay area.
