Black Knights to thrill crowds during Jubilee Weekend

SINGAPORE - The Black Knights are set to thrill the crowds with their aerial stunts during the Jubilee Weekend, as Singaporeans celebrate the nation's 50th birthday.

The popular aerial display team from the Republic of Singapore Air Force will not only perform during the National Day Parade but also put up three display shows between Aug 7 and 9, said Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen on Thursday.

In a Facebook post, Dr Ng said that six Black Knights will execute 22 manoeuvres in a public show on Aug 7 and 8. The public can catch the 25-minute show, which starts at noon, at the Marina Barrage.

The aerobatics team will also be part of an NDP aerial display show, which will showcase 20 aircraft forming the number 50 in the air, among other manoeuvres.

"The Black Knight team has been training hard each day so that they can put up their best show for all Singaporeans," said Dr Ng.
