Singapore's mobile data usage has grown at its fastest rate since it was first tracked here more than 10 years ago, underscoring the nation's growing dependence on smartphones for uses ranging from checking e-mail to watching movies.
The latest figures from the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) show that in the year up to March, Singapore residents consumed 185 petabytes - or 185 million gigabytes (GB) - of mobile data.
