The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) has said it will step up lift audit inspections, in line with the tightening of lift regulations announced in July last year.

The comments come after four HDB lift incidents this week, the worst of which resulted in a 10-year-old girl in Sengkang needing five stitches on her foot after a lift ceiling collapsed on her.
