Bargain-hunters throng PC Show looking for good deals

Bargain-hunters turned up at the PC Show in droves yesterday, hoping to snap up deals at rock-bottom prices.

Smartphones such as the super-fast 4.7-inch Huawei Ascend P2, and tablets, TVs, notebooks and cameras from more than 600 exhibitors were up for grabs at the event held at Singapore Expo.

Miss Gillian Loh, project manager at organiser Lines Exposition and Management Services, said the turnout was well on its way to meeting last year's showing.

Last June, the PC Show attracted more than 950,000 visitors, who spent more than $53 million on various products.

"Technology is essential for everyone in this day and age, and our offerings have evolved to suit consumers' taste," she said.

The annual consumer electronics fair, now into its 23rd year, ends today.
