Art contest draws over 100 kids

Children who took part in yesterday's Little Red Dot-Beautex Life's Beautiful Art Competition put their best work forward at Gardens by the Bay.

More than 100 kids turned up for the contest, now in its fifth year, despite the rain.

Seven-year-old Poojasree Bala Murugan, from St Margaret's Primary School, won first place in the lower primary category.

Lai Kit Mun, a Primary 6 pupil from Mee Toh School, won in the upper primary category.

They both took home a prize of $300, a camera and a hamper of Little Red Dot goodies.

All registration fees from the contest will go to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.

Winning artworks will also be printed onto special editions of tissue boxes and a donation from every pack sold will go towards the fund.
