Air-conditioning woes at Peninsula Shopping Centre affecting retailers

Spoilt chiller units at Peninsula Shopping Centre are making both shoppers and retailers lose their cool.

Repairs have been ongoing since Monday and are likely to only be ready on Friday.

When The Straits Times visited the strata-titled mall on Wednesday, retailers were seen plugging in their own portable fans and fanning themselves profusely with folded newspapers.

Many said that their businesses had plunged by up to 90 per cent.
