SINGAPORE – A 39-year-old motorcyclist was injured in an accident involving five vehicles in Ang Mo Kio on Oct 6.

The accident, which involved two motorcycles and three cars, also led to a traffic jam during the morning peak.

The police said they were alerted to the accident along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 towards Boundary Road at about 7.45am.

A 39-year-old male motorcyclist was taken conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, said the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force.

The accident resulted in traffic being backed up all the way to the CTE at around 8.20am.

The Land Transport Authority, in a post on social media platform X at 8.03am, advised road users to avoid lanes two and three in the area.

Photos of the aftermath of the accident show three stationary cars in the second and third lanes, with two motorcycles on their sides between the two lanes.
